Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Inside Sales Representative is central to the growth and development of revenue for the CRST Flatbed enterprise. This individual will be focused on developing new business through follow up on sales leads provided by sales, customer service and operations groups and leveraging those leads into new business relationships with customers. The Inside Sales Representative will also be responsible for developing our client base in under served markets. The position reports to the Director of Operations (Customer Service) and is designed to work closely with the customer service group.

Qualification Requirements

  • 3 years or more of telemarketing and/or inside sales experience required

  • Transportation sales experience is preferred.

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in practical experience.

  • The ability to work independently and maintain records of efforts and results.

  • Effective communication skills both electronically and over the phone.

  • Entry Level Position

  • The person in this role may be requested to assume other responsibilities on an ad hoc basis if business needs dictate.

  • There may be some travel as business needs dictate.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience

We support In-Region sales and leadership teams by managing global customer's needs outside of their domestic headquarters. Part of our team includes an inside sales team called the Global Sales Support Team (GSST). That team works with clients who mainly operate in domestic markets but have growing needs around the world as well. We work in a collaborative fashion with Countries in all regions to ensure customer needs are met. We are currently seeking to add a new team lead for the GSST team based in Birmingham, Alabama. This person will be responsible to be the global leader for the GSST team, manage the current team members, and grow the team by promoting our services internally and supporting our global customer's needs. Key goals include supporting the domestic market account teams by helping them implement key aspects of their strategic account plans and programs globally, maintaining & growing on a year-over-year basis our existing market share of our security, fire, HVAC and building controls solutions and services by clearly understanding our clients' needs and helping them achieve their objectives. The Global Sales Support Team Manager is responsible to create long-term, trusting relationships with our internal and external customers. The Global Sales Support Team Manager role is to manage the team and to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing customers and actively seek new sales opportunities. How you will do it: * Responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. * Develop new business with existing customers and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas. * Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts). * Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. * Prepare reports on account status. * Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities. * Build pipeline, close sales and achieve annual quotas. * Building and maintaining internal relationships within both sales and operations as well as coordinating with numerous internal contacts in all regions of the world is a requirement to ensure successful pre and post-sales support of our client's needs. * The Global Strategic Sales & Support Team Manager will report to the Director of the Global Enterprise Accounts team and will be expected to work effectively with peers, create / update on a quarterly basis and share strategic account plans at a team level, hold regular team meetings, hire / train / develop new employees, participate in strategic account and or quarterly business reviews (where applicable) and maintain an accurate and up-to-date pipeline in order to meet or exceed annual team sales objectives. * This role is designed to support the Global Enterprise Account teams' strategic direction to be the single point of contact for our Regional teams and largest customers from a JCI Enterprise perspective to support our customers for all solutions and services in all domains. What we look for: Required: * Proven supervisory/management experience. * Minimum experience of 2 plus years required, Program/Project management experience. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization. * Excellent verbal and written communications skills. * Strong listening and presentation skills. * Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. * Proficient with corporate productivity. * Ability to identify and analyze internal/external customer needs. * Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM. * Strong knowledge of MS Office software. * BA/BS degree or equivalent. Preferred: * 5 years plus related account management/sales. * Experience in international business is preferred.
