Are you eager to help drive sales and sales strategy? Buxton is looking to hire an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The primary focus of the position is to prospect, qualify, and generate sales leads to drive new business opportunities for our fast paced, innovative company. The ideal candidate for this position will be confident and can communicate effectively both on the phone and through email communications. You will manage and develop a high volume of accounts across a variety of industries and applications by leveraging prospecting techniques as well as product, service, industry and workflow knowledge.

In this position, you will handle lead generation for our sales team while also develop your personal sales closing skills. This position requires working within an account team environment and offers base salary plus bonus incentives.

What you'll be doing:

  • Achieving or exceeding monthly targets of qualified opportunities and other sales activity requirements
  • Researching target companies to identify if they align with company goals and objectives
  • Fully qualifying marketing and sales leads and support prospecting initiatives and campaigns assigned
  • Identifying key decision-makers and executive contacts within targeted companies
  • Proactively and professionally open a line of communication with key executive contacts to create a verifiable interest in our client solutions and services
  • Prioritizing and managing the lead queue volume effectively to maximize new sales opportunities
  • Assigning qualified opportunities to appropriate sales representatives by capturing all relevant customer information and sales activities completely into the CRM system to advance the sales cycle
  • Maintaining up-to-date prospect information and schedule follow up by creating tasks and activities in the CRM tool
  • Collaborating with peers and sales representatives to ensure customer responsiveness and attainment of goals
  • Leveraging internal resources to develop and expand your lead qualification skills

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelors degree in business, communications or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience identifying high-potential accounts, inside sales or outside sales experience
  • Public sector experience is a plus
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple assignments, and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Highly motivated attitude with an outgoing personality and ability to cultivate relationships through phone conversations
  • Ability to work independently of day-to-day supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and team-oriented personality
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM software preferred
