Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties will be assigned as required)

  • Answer incoming calls to the Inside Sales Department. Interface with other departments, i.e. accounting, production, purchasing and shipping to provide the best possible service

  • Work as a liaison with field sales, Technical Inside Sales and others necessary to satisfy the needs of the customers

  • Responsible for customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, change requests and order status

  • Responsible for entering all purchase orders and revisions received by fax, e-mail or phone

  • Work with Sales Team to complete SNP and STP renewals on time

  • Provide quotations to customers

  • Proactively sell and upsell Burkert products to customers and potential customers

  • Assist with online orders, as necessary

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma required; some college preferred

2+ years of customer service and/or inside experience preferably in a manufacturing, office environment

Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office

Experience using SAP

These duties are directly related to management practices and the company's general business operations.</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties will be assigned as required)</p><ul><li><p>Work as a liaison with Area Sales Managers, Technical Inside Sales and others necessary to satisfy the needs of the customers</p></li><li><p>Responsible for customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability, change requests and order status</p></li><li><p>Responsible for entering all purchase orders and revisions received by fax, e-mail or phone</p></li><li><p>Provide quotations to customers</p></li><li><p>Proactively sell and upsell Burkert products to customers and potential customers including service offerings</p></li><li><p>Identify new opportunities within the segment by making outbound phone calls</p></li><li><p>Assemble and roll out business plans that provide sales growth to the specific segment</p></li><li><p>Find new key contacts (determined by Segment Team Leader)</p></li><li><p>Develop new interest through phone sales.</p></li><li><p>Develop a customer list from the phone sales. Work with Segment Team Leader to develop objectives to grow each account.</p></li><li><p>Thoroughly understand SD&amp;T's for you segment.</p></li><li><p>Proactively research to discover large potential customers that fall within the SD&amp;T objectives.</p></li><li><p>Discuss with FSM and Segment Manager these potential NBD/NCD accounts and target which accounts to proactively research and initiate conversations.</p></li><li><p>Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other tools to build an organization chart for the target customer.</p></li><li><p>Review this with the appropriate FSM, ASM and segment manager.</p></li><li><p>Develop a plan to penetrate into these underpenetrated accounts.</p></li><li><p>Actively help develop these target accounts.</p></li><li><p>Conduct effective introductory sales calls.</p></li><li><p>Have on-going pursuits and development with the FSM's, Sales Managers and Marketing Departments on activities for their respective segments that could include but not be limited to; SIC code of listed potential, specific areas of a market, solutions and/or processes to pursue, applications that apply and questions to be asked and pursued for each opportunity</p></li><li><p>Interface with other departments, i.e. accounting, production, purchasing and shipping to provide the best possible service</p></li><li><p>Be able to fully utilize the following tools: Company specific CRM and SAP</p></li><li><p>List target accounts to pursue for specification acceptance</p></li><li><p>Provide weekly report on key targeted accounts and communicate that information in company CRM tool in both the opportunity and note sections</p></li><li><p>Exercise discretion to qualify leads by determining the Total Customer Potential (A, B, C and D classifications) and follow-up on leads to determine the best next steps to generate new business:</p></li><li><p>A and B customers with a qualified lead = Work with the ASM</p></li><li><p>C and D customers with a qualified lead = Close the sales over the phone by involving the proper support teams</p></li><li><p>Leads that are not qualified = make sure the customer is in CRM with all the pertinent information for future Nourishing programs to develop them as new customers.
