The person hired for the position of Inside Sales Representative - Automotive Aftermarket Division will be responsible for growing and developing an assigned sales territory in a B2B sales environment.
This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Drive 3M sales to jobbers and small direct distributors in assigned territory
Drive profitable product sales within the key segments
Establish and maintain customer relationships.
Understand the customers' business/sales model to influence key players
Introduce new products and communicate promotions to relevant customers and prospects
Maintain and update a working sales plan with strategies and tactics to achieve annual sales forecast
Demonstrate a proficient level of procedural and technical product knowledge to identify products that meet customer needs
Work to attain sales quota, sales quality and sales productivity metrics
Share best practices with the team to promote a positive team environment
Demonstrate proficiency in identifying market trends and account needs in order to react to market activity and reach favorable sales goals
Advanced selling skills & value selling cost comparisons
Strategic, analytical, creative thinking and expert listening skills
Effective selling skills with strong oral , written & presentation skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
Time & territory management to allow for complete coverage/contact of account base
Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of two (2) years of sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Salesforce.com experience/pipeline management
Minimum two (2) years selling or working with 3M's industrial adhesives, tapes and abrasive products
Solid understanding of the AAD product lines
Knowledge of the key markets (Collision Shops)
Knowledge of competitive suppliers & product lines
Minimum of one year working with collision shops
Excellent oral and written communication
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
Strong active listening skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to stay focused on tasks
Location: Maplewood, MN
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
Relocation: Is not authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
