The Inside Sales Representative will work in partnership with the Aegis Sales team to provide an internal point of contact for client accounts. He or she will manage key administrative set up/implementation activities as well as nurture ongoing client relationships with a particular focus on up selling and cross selling. The Inside Sales Representative will also manage, qualify, develop, and assist in growing lead activity and new prospects to produce qualified sales opportunities in conjunction with targeted Marketing campaigns.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with Regional Sales Manager(s) (RSM) to provide an internal point of contact for accounts within a defined area

  • Manage key administrative activities and functions with designated accounts in conjunction with RSM partner

  • Work as an active member for all new client set ups and implementation to ensure optimal customer transition and experience to Aegis testing

  • Manage, qualify, develop, and grow lead activity and new prospects to produce qualified sales opportunities in conjunction with targeted Marketing campaigns

  • Nurture ongoing client relationships with a particular focus on up selling and cross selling

  • Assist RSM in attaining or exceeding assigned sales, profit, and market share goals consistently while working within budgetary guidelines

  • Maintain communications and relationships with all key accounts assigned via email and phone

  • Daily integration with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to adopt accounts, leads, contacts, per sales department best practices, policies, and procedures

  • Build and increase industry knowledge and acumen to position the company's value proposition to potential sales opportunities

  • Effectively communicate key competitive activities, market trends, and changing customer direction within the organization

  • Work in partnership with RSM to drive client loyalty and retention

  • Collaborate with multiple departments to coordinate client requests and inquiries

  • Identify ways to re-train clients who have repeated exceptions to the normal laboratory process

A Successful Candidate Must Possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred

  • With a Bachelor's degree, no experience required; With an Associate's degree, a minimum of a sales internship or a minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience is required; With a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of two (2) years of Sales experience required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work on multiple tasks without sacrificing quality, attention to detail, and ability to interact with staff at all levels is required

Assist the Branch Manager in maintaining inventory levels via the purchasing and tracking of materials for resale. The Responsibilities Include: * Provide excellent customer service using professional communication skills. * Set and authorize delivery dates based on knowledge of the Company's production, delivery schedules and staffing levels. * Maintain customer relationships. * Open and close the branch in the Branch Manager's and Assistant Branch Manager's absence. * Negotiates price levels to maintain competitive position in the marketplace. * Uses expert application, installation and product knowledge to up-sell the customer appropriately. * Possesses ability to overcome objections or concerns of potential customers by utilizing technical expertise. * Contacts potential customers and "zero account" customers to initiate the sales process. * Responsible for the balancing and processing of end of day sales reconciliation. * Tracks and reports on stock levels using the Mincron computer system. * Coordinates purchases of materials for re-sale through the Branch Manager to ensure duplicate orders are avoided. * Handles incoming customer complaints in a prompt and courteous manner; owns the problem until resolved, including the direction of delivery and warehouse personnel. * Ensures accurate computer transactions. * Prepare and audit sales and margin reports for daily transactions. * Make recommendations and work closely with Branch Manager to correct unacceptable margin levels. * Participates in all training exercises, including role-plays to enhance sale capabilities. * The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * BS Degree or Equivalent work experience preferred. * Two years prior inside sales or customer service experience (preferably in the building material distribution industry). * Mincron operating system. Proven ability to learn new software package. * Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. * Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic about our business. * Must have excellent customer service and people skills. * Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent organizational and time management skills. * Must be analytical and able to solve problems. * Must have good verbal and written communication skills. * Must be ethical and honest. * Must be dependable and have a current state issued driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. * Must be able to pass a company required drug test. * Must be able to read, speak and write the English language to communicate with vendors, customers and other branch employees.
