Job Summary

Receives and processes orders, inquiries and complaints from customers and Territory Managers, to maximize revenue and gross margin dollars by performing the following duties.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Handles inbound calls, to convert customer inquiries to actual sales.

  • Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.

  • Maintain constant knowledge of plant workload, stock levels, current market and company prices and delivery schedules to give accurate information to customers, potential customers and Territory Managers.

  • Develop and maintain good working knowledge of possible applications of assigned metal products to maximize sales potential by meeting customer needs.

  • Answer customers' questions regarding scheduled deliveries and help resolve complaints on products furnished, to achieve greatest possible customer satisfaction.

  • Builds and maintains good customer relationships.

  • Coordinate with Territory Mangers to assure optimum lead time and inventory levels, to help resolve customer complaints, and to keep the Territory Manager informed as to daily activity of major accounts.

  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or Marketing

  • 2+ years sales experience

  • Industry familiarity preferred

Under direct supervision handles inbound/outbound enrollment and engagement calls with eligible members to provide information regarding program features. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: * Gathers and records appropriate member information in accordance with policies and procedures via telephone. * Encourages members to participate in the Care Management programs by providing information about the program, outlining program features/value and explaining available services. * Records call details and utilize call scripts as needed based on client requirements. * Directs member inquiries to appropriate clinical staff. * Initiates referrals and manages consults from clinicians for participants registered in Care Management. * Gathers information from hospitals, health plans, physicians, patients, vendors and other referral sources. * Contacts physician offices to obtain demographic information or related data as needed. Level II Responsible for providing initial contact between distinct Care Management programs and specific identified members. Under general supervision handles inbound/outbound enrollment and engagement calls with eligible members to provide information regarding program features. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: * Gathers and records appropriate member information in accordance with policies and procedures via telephone. * Encourages members to participate in the Care Management programs by providing information about the program, outlining program features/value and explaining available services. * Records call details and utilize call scripts as needed based on client requirements. * Directs member inquiries to appropriate clinical staff. * Initiates referrals and manages consults from clinicians for participants registered in Care Management. * Gathers information from hospitals, health plans, physicians, patients, vendors and other referral sources. * Contacts physician offices to obtain demographic information or related data as needed. * Mentors less experienced Health Program Advocates. Level III Responsible for providing initial contact between distinct Care Management programs and specific identified members. Must be able to successfully perform all the duties of the Health Program Rep I. Provides technical support to various staff. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: * Understands and applies specific workflow, processes, departmental priorities and guidelines. * Resolves complex situations and ensures assigned staff are directed to the appropriate resources. * Resolves escalated calls from team members. * Under supervision, provides training and mentoring of staff and can role-play expected steps. * Gathers information from hospitals, health plans, physicians, patients, vendors and other referral sources. Qualifications Level I * Requires HS diploma or the equivalent; * 6 months experience in a telesales or customer service demonstrating ability to influence customers/ members; * Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. * Computer/keyboarding proficiency and the ability to follow defined policies and protocols required. * Knowledge of company products, services and benefits preferred. Level II * Requires a HS diploma or the equivalent; * 6 months experience in Level 1 role; * Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. * Demonstrated proficiency in Level 1 role. * Past experience demonstrating analytical thinking. * Demonstrated ability to perform in multiple systems, apply a unique set of criteria as required to manage within a multifunctional role. Level III * Requires expert knowledge and proficiency of Health Program Rep role. * Requires 1 year of experience in complex customer service or call center environment; * Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. * Prior experience mentoring others and providing job specific technical support preferred.
