Develops and implements programs and processes for identifying and procuring potential customers for Shopko Optical products and services. Develops sales and revenue business plans for corporate and institutional partnerships. Initiates contact with business prospects. Qualifies potential sales leads. Positively promotes Shopko Optical business initiatives to achieve planned results.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety Eyewear Program Management
Builds relationships with employer groups located near Shopko Optical stores
Stays current on trends in safety eyewear and communicates internally to support product development
Independently prospects and engages new customers using proactive sales call techniques
Identifies and proposes solutions to meet customer needs
Understands competitive landscape and develops strategies to strengthen Shopko Optical's business position
New Business Development
Evaluates marketplace for new B2B or Institutional partnerships for Shopko Optical products and services
Develops business plans for new partnerships
Proactively prospects and engages new corporate and institutional customers
Stays current on industry trends
Maintains Shopko Optical and industry product and service knowledge
Identifies opportunities to promote Eyewear Savings Program
Collaboration and Leadership
Supports development of teammate communication and training related to safety eyewear and other institutional programs
Coordinates and effectively communicates with office and store teams to ensure new programs and partnerships are implemented and maintained efficiently
Partners with marketing team to develop collateral to support institutional programs
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent work experience
2-3 years sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong analytic skills, financial aptitude and business acumen.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to flourish in a matrix environment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone copier, etc)
Ability to effectively communicate with all types of associates through written and two-way verbal communication.
Able to lift 10 to 20 pounds.
Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines.
Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development.
