Job Description & Qualifications

Job Summary

Responsible for generating new sales opportunities via phone, email or other electronic communication. Respond to customer order and quotation requests received via outside salespersons, telephone, e-mail, written, and faxed correspondence.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Prospects for new sales opportunities. Generates leads via outbound calling and e-mail.

  • Provides pricing and delivery information.

  • Procures and maintains inventory. Monitors to ensure proper inventory turns.

  • Performs follow-up to ensure timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.

  • Resolves customer service issues. Tracks open sales orders.

  • Maintains strong working relationships with vendors.

Nature and Scope

  • Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.

  • Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.

  • None.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

  • Experience selling in an inside sales environment and/or demonstrated success working with customers.

  • Experience with inventory sales preferred.

VIEW JOBS 1/18/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-17T00:00 Role and Responsibilities POSITION REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for achieving quarterly and annual goals in support of assigned company goals and quotas. The inside Sales Representative establish strong presence and build direct relationships with end users and organizations cultivating sales interest and act in support of assigned to the Regional Sales Managers to maximize the lead to opportunity conversions. Additional duties include and/or introducing new and existing products and services to potential customers, generating and cultivating leads via phone and email to establish a sales pipeline, retaining existing customer base, tracking and following up on leads generated, handling campaign execution actions. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Identify new and retain existing customers through communication, relationship building and setting measurable and mutual customer expectations that will drive revenue. * Conduct phone call schedule to existing and new customers for business development qualifying leads generated from tradeshows and campaigns. * Identify potential opportunities ensuring that customers are aware of available solutions and utilizing the product to its fullest functionality and capability. * Assist in market penetration including but not limited to, sales campaigns, scheduling meetings, product launch, intro to new prospects, coordinating demos. * Developing comprehensive strategies, systems, tactics, and action plans, to grow and support sales revenue targets within territories in collaboration with Sales Managers. * Work in close cooperation with Marketing, Regional Customer Service Rep and outside Sales team to continually improve the customer experience. * Planning weekly activities including lead follow up and regional warranty renewal follow up. * Promotion of all corporate campaigns and regional events as needed. * Meet sales revenues quotas as established by Management including warranty and add-on sales. REQUIREMENTS: * College Degree or equivalent combination of studies and experience. * 3 Years' related work experience * Assertive sales mindset, enthusiastic about developing new business and cultivating undiscovered opportunities to improve territory sales results. * Previous CRM experience is an asset. * Potential/Willingness to expand and transition to an Associate Sales Manager or Territory Sales Manager position based upon assertiveness, success and availability. * Must be an organized and detail oriented individual with a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities and project. * Previous Inside sales or account manager experience in the medical device or healthcare industry preferred * Position may require extended periods of sitting down, visual activity with computers. * Computer literacy is essential. * Able to travel up to 20%.
