Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Taking orders at the sales counter and over the phone

  • Building relationships with customers

  • Ability to use company computer system to enter orders

  • Complete sales orders and tender cash sales

  • Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases

  • Cold-call prospects that are generated by external sources of lead

  • Collaborate with Outside Sales Reps and Sales Managers to determine necessary strategic sales approaches

  • Overcome objections of prospective customers

  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports


  • High school diploma or GED required, 4 year degree preferred

  • Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be comfortable meeting the public

  • Must be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail and have good organizational skills

  • Bi-lingual preferred: English and Spanish

Located at the Batteries Plus Bulbs corporate office and national headquarters in Hartland, WI, the ideal Inside Commercial Sales Team Lead, will have 3+ years of consultative sales experience, prior sales leadership or team supervision experience, have a passion for sales, and be a highly motivated achiever. Responsibilities: * Maximize sales commercial sales revenue and margins through effective business-to-business account prospecting, outbound cold call strategies, and sales closing techniques to move the sales process forward at a rapid rate * Lead team of inside commercial sales representatives * Assist Director of Commercial Sales with day-to-day management of inside sale team * Develop new commercial business accounts and account management * Handle escalated sales calls to ensure sales are closed and not lost * Train new associates, track and reports on calls, goals, and metrics Qualifications: * 3+ years of consultative sales experience * Prior inside sales experience of commercial and industrial goods and services helpful * Prior sales leadership and/or team supervision strongly desired * Prior experience using a CRM / Customer Relationship Management software such as * Proficient in MS Office- Word, Excel. Ability to learn new internal databases.
