Job Purpose: This position is responsible to sell products by being on the floor with the customer as required.

Scope: Under close supervision following established routines and standing instructions, this position is accountable to perform sales related activities within the confines of one retail store but will be accountable to provide support to other locations as necessary. Employees in this position exercise some independent discretion and judgment in managing the discount pricing of products sold.

Report Relationships: This position reports to the Branch Manager. Position has no direct reports.

Special Physical Requirements:
In store sales staff work in warehouse and office conditions, and will experience frequent changes in temperature. Regularly required to bend and carry up to 50lbs, climb stairs, operate motorized equipment.

Principal Responsibilities:

Sells proactively and follows through to convert inquires to sales.

Receives and enters telephone orders, answering routine questions.

Out on the floor to promote 'add-on' sales of high margin products and accessories.

Stock shelves, setup marketing promotions.

Makes outbound calls based on previous sales history and/or new promotions to retail and small customers.

Sells product at minimum discount to achieve target margins.

Accountable for providing complete and accurate account set-up and pricing data.

Ensure ongoing accuracy of customer information.

Interface with credit departments regarding dealer account status.
