Clariant is currently looking for an Inside Sales Associate to support the Lucas Meyer Cosmetics business unit. Lucas Meyer Cosmetics is a part of Clariant's Care Chemicals business unit which develops, manufactures, and markets innovative ingredients for the Cosmetic and Personal Care industry. We offer active ingredients, functional ingredients, and delivery systems from various origins. Our product portfolio consists of unique, value-added innovative ingredients supported by rigorous scientific research, and are manufactured in compliance with the highest standards. Our broad offering is complemented by a wide range of scientific, technical, marketing, formulation, and regulatory support services. The Inside Sales Associate position will be focused around Cosmetic and Personal Care brands and manufacturers in North America. This role will be responsible for assisting the Sales team with organizing and maintaining new and current accounts by providing sales support and promoting our product portfolio. Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for supporting the Sales team with any needed Sales Support, with a secondary focus on developing business with new clients
Manage customer database, identify, and qualify new leads, initiate communication, and ensure follow-up is done in a timely manner
Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to align customer initiatives and proactively assist with product-related communication to customers
Take detailed notes from meetings and conference calls and provide to appropriate team members
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and order information using CRM software
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and other documentation as required by management
Develop a deep understanding of our cosmetic ingredient's portfolio, including features, benefits, and applications
Utilize consultative approach to proactively anticipate, evaluate, and understand customer's business and needs
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through effective communication and regular follow-ups
Provide product information, technical support, and guidance to customers regarding our range of cosmetic ingredients, features, and benefits
Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams to ensure all customer inquiries are addressed properly
Assist in preparing and delivering sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to clients
Conduct market research to identify potential customers and new business opportunities
Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate strategies
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Cosmetics, Marketing, Business, or a related field; willing to accept years of experience in lieu of degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, MS Excel/Word, and Salesforce
Enthusiastic, highly motivated, goal-oriented individual with a serious work ethic
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, while also being a team player capable of collaborating with team members
Execute a daily routine of strategic territory management
Some travel required for the Annual Global Sales Meeting (passport required) and Mid-Year Sales Meeting
