Inside Sales Application Specialist
JOB PURPOSE: The Sales Application Specialist supports the assigned product line(s) providing technical information regarding product application to customers, and providing technical support to the engineering department to ensure the meeting of customer product requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Work towards and help identify new or better processes to reduce error rates.
Assist in meeting the Company's sales and profit goals.
Protect the confidentiality of customer pricing and account information.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Be customer-focused on both internal and external customer needs.
Provide courteous and efficient service to customers.
Appropriately break down bills of material in order to quote standard parts
Able to work in a professional manner with other departments or vendors to gather needed information and pricing in order to quote standard parts
Able to apply a customer's discount structure to list pricing, and identify potential problems related to customer's choice of material. Use this information to quote and/or process orders.
Provide standard or basic engineered system product quotations as requested by customers and process the orders from the quotations.
Have a basic understanding of each product line and ability to identify the proper product needed for standard applications.
Process engineered bundle order and gather detailed order information including sales order, purchase order, quote(s), vendor quote(s), incoming material report(s), an any other detailed information for the sales order packet to be handed off for first check before release.
Coordinate among Sales, Purchasing, Production, Test and Shipping Departments ensuring that customer orders are efficiently shipped according to their delivery requirements.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires four years of high school and two to three years of Sales/Customer Service experience, Associate's Degree in a related major (electrical background is helpful), or a combination of education and experience.
