Job Description

The Inside Sales and Support Specialist will be a detail-oriented contributor who will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales effort. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining accurate data, fostering customer relationships, and actively seeking ways to enhance operational efficiency. Inside sales work includes assignments from Sales Reps as well as lead follow up from Food Shows and general inquiries. Attention to detail, problem-solving, excellent communication and organizational skills are essential in this role.

What You Will Do At Acme:

  • Collaborate with internal groups to support the Sales Team and execute customer requests efficiently.

  • Develop an understanding of the company's products and services, including species, ingredients, uses, pricing, and benefits.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to develop and maintain relationships to ensure repeat business and upsell opportunities.

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers within the food industry to follow up on assigned leads, generate leads, and sales opportunities.

  • Support the team by organizing and participating in food shows and customer visits/tours.

  • Proactively collaborate with marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotions to drive sales.

  • Collaborate with customer service including logistics to ensure order fulfillment and customer satisfaction, follow up as needed to troubleshoot and pivot as required.

  • Utilize Microsoft Power BI, customer portals, GDSN's and third-party portals to support updates and key information for our customers.

  • Support Management and Sales Team by providing follow-up and communication on important matters that may arise including participating in sales meetings.

  • Monitor and ensure data is accurate in systems and administration tools.

  • Support the Sales Teams on operational activities and develop strong customer relationships at various levels within the customer's organization to ensure the sales processes are successfully completed.

  • Proactively seek external knowledge to improve understanding and work output.

  • E.G. Sustainability, Seafood Industry news, trends and regulations, Quality Assurance, Packaging, Product Innovation, Private Label, Ecommerce.

  • Must be comfortable to actively seek instructions on new assignments.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

About You

Your Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing.

  • 4+ years' experience in sales administration or related field.

  • Familiarity with CRM software a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

  • Proven experience in administrative or sales support roles.

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication and customer service skills to maintain, build, and enhance customer relationships, ultimately improving customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to independently resolve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while promptly escalating more complex matters to the appropriate staff.

  • Capacity to multitask effectively, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and consistently meet deadlines.

  • Ability to be a proactive professional in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.

  • Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or prolonged periods of standing.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

  • Ability to travel.

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually

  • This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
