The Inside Sales Account Manager - Inside is responsible for building Univar business partnerships and growing sales of existing Univar customers by gaining understanding of all aspects of the customers´ business and applying Univar sales processes to uncover and close new business opportunities.
This position requires effective territory management and business planning capabilities to implement our strategies to improve sales performance within the assigned geography.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Execute sales calls via telephone, WebEx, or Video Chat to increase profitable sales growth and territory penetration.
Establish and develop customer relationships by evaluating needs & opportunities within customer accounts and negotiate to overcome obstacles and gain customer commitment.
Develop a business plan to achieve sales goals and objectives.
Maintain knowledge of products, services, driven activity, and other general information of interest to customers.
Collaborate with sales team members to share standard processes and drive account growth.
Document all account activity in the CRM system (Salesforce.com).

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor´s degree or equivalent experience of 2+ years of sales experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong, successful business relationships with customers as well as internal teammates.
Excellent digital literacy including MS Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint as well as CRM platforms such as Salesforce.com.
Ability to lead time and resources optimally to achieve goals.
Strong business insight, including an understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors and end-users of chemical products and services.
Well-honed listening skills and a problem-solving attitude to uncover needs and motivations to overcome objections in order to close a sale.
Effective negotiation skills that allow Univar to realize appropriate value for products and services, rather than resorting to price-based selling.
