Job Summary:
The Inside Premise Technician is responsible for installing Fiber Optic cables and ONTs (Optical Network Terminals) inside residential and business premises using various techniques. This role involves setting up new network facilities, meeting with property owners, documenting work, and ensuring seamless integration of indoor and outdoor network components.

Job Responsibilities:
Fiber Optic Installation: Install Fiber Optic cables and ONTs inside premises using a variety of techniques.
Network Facilities Installation: Set up new network facilities for Carrier networks, Fiber to the Businesses, and Residential services.
Client Interaction: Meet with home and business owners to discuss installation requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
Documentation: Report completed work daily, including detailed documentation with photos.
Mapping: Plan outdoor fiber and TRB (Terminating Resistor Box) placement to align with indoor installations.
Skills Required:
Technical Skills: Proficient in installing and maintaining fiber optic cables and network facilities.
Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues.
Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients and ensure their needs are met.
Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain accurate documentation and manage time effectively.
Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and ensuring safe working conditions.
Experience with relational databases.
Qualifications:
Age and Education: Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required.
Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel extensively; 100% travel throughout the Nebraska is a requirement.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform labor-intensive tasks such as frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, digging, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
Experience: Experience with fiber blowing optic equipment (GMP and CONDUX) is a plus.
Outdoor Work: Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Pre-Employment Checks: Must pass all pre-employment checks, including substance screening, criminal background checks, and motor vehicle record checks.
Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and a desire to excel in the role.
Communication Skills: Must be well-spoken and able to effectively interface with fiber optic customers.
Working Conditions:
Environment: Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
Physical Demands: Must be physically capable of performing demanding tasks and lifting heavy equipment.
