We are very excited to be adding new Inside Partner Account Managers to the Extreme Team starting Summer 2019! Our Inside Partner Account Manager Team Lead will hold dual responsibilities as both a team leader providing guidance and coaching, in addition to managing a pool of partner accounts where they act as a liaison between Extreme and our channel partners and are responsible for building, maintaining and managing long-term relationships with current and prospective partners. Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving 100% or more of set sales quota for the team each quarter and executing against corporate initiatives.

  • Provide day to day support and coaching for team

  • Prepare sales forecasts

  • Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements

  • Ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met

  • Ownership of strategic short-term and long-term goals for assigned channel partners, through the support in the creation of account plans for the partners' focused on enablement and new business development.

  • Develop and socialize territory channel development plan internally; working within regional team to identify gaps and potential partners.

  • Recruiting and on-boarding partners.

  • Collaborate with internal Extreme associates including channel marketing, channel sales engineers, and channel operations to deliver required support to maximize revenue and growth for managed account set.

  • Coordinate lead generation and sales activities to drive new business and pipeline development.

  • Responsible for involving the partners' resources in the planning process and getting their commitment to deliver against the account plan and associated activities and investments.

  • Track all major activities with the partner through CRM (SFDC) and partners' sales activities for Extreme opportunities in CRM (SFDC).

  • Respond to inbound partner inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Build relationships with assigned contacts within partner account set; identifying the right resources to engage that will help maximize partner spend with Extreme.

  • Drive rules of engagement with channel partners, inside sales, account executives, system engineers and others as appropriate.

  • Assist with escalations, RMAs, part numbers, marketing development funds, order operations, etc.

  • Evangelize adoption of self-service and online tools to effectively build partner capacity.

  • Facilitate sales and technical updates with the partners' resources to keep them well versed on our solutions and sales strategies. Update mediums include but are not limited to: New Hire Training, Floor Days, Caf Days, and before/after-hours Training Programs.

  • Host regular conference calls for channel partners to review new Extreme Networks solutions or programs, updates, training plans, marketing activities and any concerns that need to be addressed by the account.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of IT related sales experience (previous channel experience is a plus)

  • Proven sales track record

  • Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Excel

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Sales management experience strongly preferred

  • High level of business acumen, and understanding of partner go to market and economics

  • Ability to translate an earning/income statement in partners' fiscal health; understanding the partners key success criteria and creating congruity between our organizations' objectives

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal & written) and time management skills (ability to prioritize and reprioritize in a complex and changing environment)
