Norman Regional Health System and Oceans Healthcare have partnered to expand access to behavioral health services in south central Oklahoma through construction of a new, state-of-the-art behavioral hospital. Opening Summer 2024.
Behavioral Health Center at Porter Health Village, a 48-bed facility, will more that double Norman Regional Health System's inpatient capacity for adult and senior behavioral health patients and add new services, including an intensive outpatient program and a dedicated geriatric behavioral health unit. The freestanding hospital will be located on the Norman Regional Porter campus and replace the existing 20-bed behavioral health unit.
As a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, our therapists provide direct clinical services - including assessments, interventions, treatment planning and discharge planning, as well as providing individual, family, and/or group therapy to further patient/family/group progress in treatment.

Essential Functions:
\t
- Provides direct clinical services in accordance with accepted standards of social/work clinical practice.\t
- Plans and conducts individual family and/or group therapy as assigned by the Director of Social Services or physician's order.\t
- Conducts, assesses and interprets completion of Comprehensive Integrated Assessment.\t
- Reviews all Multidisciplinary assessments and compiles a Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan under the supervision of the attending physician.\t
- Performs case management and discharge planning as assigned by the Director of Social Services.\t
- Attends multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, provides updates on assigned patients and their progress toward treatment goals; combines the reports of all disciplines into a multidisciplinary treatment integration summary, which facilitates the patient's progress towards treatment plan goals\t
- Delivers patient services in an ethical manner which promotes respect for the patient and enhances the patient's dignity and satisfaction; Demonstrates the ability to assess and interpret a patient's response to treatment in age/disability/culturally sensitive specific manner.\t
- Assesses and interprets age/disability/cultural needs; Identifies safety, psychosocial, special mobility and special equipment needs; and Communicates in an age/disability/culturally sensitive related manner to patients and their families\t
- Conducts treatment and discharge planning in accordance with age/disability/cultural needs and involves members of the patient's support system in decision making as appropriate.\t
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
