  • 36 bed adult acute (ages 17 and up)

  • Average length of stay: 10-14 days

  • Clinical psychology

  • Hosts a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions such as Parkinson's and MS, trauma, orthopedics, pulmonary and cardiac conditions

Education

Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred: Enrolled in a bachelors of nursing program.

Licensure / Certification

Required: Current Registered Nurse License in this state

Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider

Experience

Required: Current Virginia license or license pending state board approval.

Preferred: One year experience in inpatient rehab and or Med/Surg.

HCA Nurse Residency Program (Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit) StaRN Program (12 weeks total): Our StaRN Program will provide you with the tools necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment. It will help you transition out of the classroom setting and onto the unit by providing the following training: * 5 weeks classroom, self-study, skills & simulations * 7 weeks preceptorship * Certifications: ECG, TeamSTEPPS, BLS/ACLS, CPI After StaRN, you will transition into our Professional Development Residency: * 9 month program factored into a full time position on the unit * You will learn Charge Nurse and Preceptor skills * You will collaborate with a mentor to complete an evidence based Capstone Project (4 hours a month) * Your project has an opportunity to gain recognition by corporate for further recognition Cohort Start Date: Additional Information about our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit: * You will work on a 36-bed unit * Our team provides care to patients with physical limitations due to stroke, trauma, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries and surgery, amputations, chronic pain, cardiac and pulmonary disorders, and other neurological and musculoskeletal conditions * Our facility has an on-site 3,000 square foot inpatient therapy gym including state of the art recovery equipment such as the Bioness BITS, Bioness L300 and L200, Bioness Vector, Armeo Spring, Saebo, Nustep, SciFit, and Vital Stim * This unit is perfect for a graduate nurse who loves getting to know patients and building rapport, while also having the opportunity to learn a variety of skills WHAT BENEFITS DO WE OFFER?
