As an Inpatient Psychiatric Therapist you will be providing assessment, programming, and individual and group therapy to adult psychiatric patients. Implements protocols and procedures for patients suffering psychiatric diagnosis.

Schedules personnel to provide coverage for all scheduled therapeutic groups and to meet patients# routine and special event needs. Evaluates current literature and study/research findings for application to dual diagnosis therapies. Develops instructional materials for use in patient teaching.

Education and Training:## ########### Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Psychosocial Sciences, Nursing, or an appropriate related field Masters Degree preferred Mandated and Permissive Reporter Training required# # Experience and Knowledge: 3 years# experience in inpatient or residential mental health experience preferred or 3 years experience in inpatient or residential substance abuse # # Experience and Knowledge: 3 years# experience in inpatient or residential mental health experience preferred or 3 years experience in inpatient or residential substance abuse # # # Skills:# Physical Demands and Sensory Requirements:# Balance of sedentary/mobility work Speech discrimination within functional limits for telephone/personal communication Visual acuity of 20/60 in at least one eye (with/without correction) Ability to communicate verbally # # # Working Conditions:## Emergencies/crisis situations Irregular hours Long hours # # Blood Borne Pathogen Risk: Category III - Routine tasks involve no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissues, but may at times have unplanned exposure # # #
