Inpatient OB RN - Nights

This is a full-time, nightshift position in Talihina's OB Unit with a rotating schedule, and eligible for shift differential on nights and weekends

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Perform general nursing responsibilities in multiple areas, as assigned with guidance, to ensure excellent patient care. You will report to the RN Unit Manager.

Primary Tasks:

• Provide direct patient, assessment and planning for individualized patient care.+ Communicate with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including chest pain and changes in vital signs and results of diagnostic studies.+ You will respond quickly to changes in patient's condition or response to treatment.+ Create an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.+ Evaluate discharge needs, and coordinate with multi-health care disciplines in planning for care after discharge.+ Assess and reassess pain management techniques used. Educate the patient and family regarding pain management.+ You will identify and address psychosocial needs of patient and family.+ Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Required Education and experience:

• Current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing (or Multi-State Nursing License)
• Current CPR certification required
• Good customer service skills
• General computer and office skills
