Provides quality psychotherapeutic services to patients and families dealing with chemical dependency. Actively participates as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. Provides services and performs functions with consideration to the developmental milestones and life stages of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients served by the hospital.

Duties, Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Functions independently in providing group, individual, conjoint and family therapy to patient's needs and physician's orders as appropriate

  • Performs quality chemical dependency/psychosocial assessments, treatment plans and reviews consistent with established standards, in a timely manner

  • Provides appropriate community referrals based on patient needs and preferences. Assists case managers in developing discharge plans in order to provide continuity of care, helping the patient transition back into the community

  • Assist in the development of the multidisciplinary treatment plan and functions as a contributing member of the multidisciplinary treatment team

  • Reports to investigating state and local agencies as mandated by state law and ethical standards of the profession

  • Maintains appropriate documentation in a timely manner, meeting standard deadlines

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Completed educational requirements to meet licensing standards

Experience:

  • Minimum of at least one year experience in the chemical dependency or mental health field

  • Psychiatric hospital inpatient experience preferred

Certification and Licensure:

  • Current LCDC with TCADA
