P3 Project Mgr

Job Salary - $90,000.00

Description of Duties: Under general supervision of the State Alternative Delivery Administrator and/or Program Manager, provides "cradle-to-grave" oversight for assigned Design Build (DB) projects that are part of the P3 Division Program. The DB Project Manager will manage, review, and coordinate the DB (or complex) contract administration in accordance with approved processes and procedures, including the technical and administrative contract documents and other Department requirements. The DB Project Manager will manage, review, and exercise delegated authorities in accordance with adopted protocols acting on behalf of GDOT. The DB Project Manager will review and recommend approvals/changes for contract and project issues. The DB Project Manager will work closely with the PMC team, GDOT OID staff and other GDOT Offices to develop project schedules and recovery work plans (as needed) that meet the requirements of the contract consistent with the overall Master Program Schedule and the overall OID program. The DB Project Manager will provide oversight and coordination of the PMC and the GEC responsible to navigate the DB projects through all pre-let activities (including but not limited to) feasibility analyses, scoping, concept engineering and plan development, NEPA/GEPA, costing plan development, development of procurement documents and support through the DB procurement processes including one on one meetings and ATC reviews and negotiations. The DB Project Manager also provides on-going construction management and administrative services oversight in coordination with a GDOT District, the PMC and/or GEC/CEI consultant on assigned projects and will provide oversight and guidance for those PMC/GEC/Construction Service Consultants and/or Developer construction activities.

This position will report to the General Office located in Atlanta, Georgia. Travel is required for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Minimum Qualifications.

STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of related experience
  • OR Associates' degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and five years of related experience
  • OR one year at the lower level (TRM030) or position equivalent.

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Construction, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Sciences AND Four years of management, program management or project management experience

OR Two years of experience at the lower level (TRM030) or position equivalent.

  • Experience as an advanced project manager, handling moderate to advanced transportation related projects.
