We have an exciting opportunity to join the Innovative Business group as an Innovation Specialist. You will lead the development of new products in support of a number of Donaldson business units. As a member of the Innovative Business group, you will use your technical abilities to drive towards solutions to challenging problems but will also leverage your business understanding and Donaldson's Innovation processes to ensure that we are working on the right problems. This is a great role for a creative problem solver with a technical background and a business interest in driving future growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead projects that evaluate new technology ideas and develop them into differentiated new products.

  • Work with the Business Units to determine how new products will provide value to our customers and to Donaldson.

  • Develop project plans for the products being developed, including development of the business hypothesis, proving product feasibility, and testing areas of high risk

  • Ensure that we establish and maintain IP protection for our new products and technologies, utilizing established Donaldson processes for documenting inventions and patenting new technologies.

  • Work with other Corporate Technology groups, Business Units and Donaldson Manufacturing Plants in developing new technologies and manufacturing methods.

  • Support the achievement of Corporate Technology performance metrics and initiatives.

  • Travel 5-10%.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and minimum of 3 years of experience in the design and development of technology or products.

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate well at all levels

  • Experience working in a process-based system. Experience with a stage gate process is helpful.

  • Experience interfacing directly with product end-users

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Comfortable in making decisions and dealing with ambiguity.

  • Project Management experience, with proven results. MS Project experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Business

  • Experience in New Product Innovation

  • Business/Financial Experience

  • Understanding of filtration technology - applications, design, theory and principles

  • Experience in interfacing with complete value chain suppliers, dealers, OEMs

  • PMP Certification

Job Posting Title Pharmacy Trade Relations and Innovation Sr. Director Job Description The Pharmaceutical Trade Relations & Innovation Senior Director is responsible for leading Prime's trade relationship with pharmaceutical manufacturers and other healthcare organizations as it pertains to value-based contracting, digital therapeutics and data licensing. This includes contract negotiation, upsell of Prime's services, and execution of rebate or other innovative agreements, representing all such agreements to Prime's internal and external customers where appropriate, and positioning Prime as a leader in innovative healthcare solutions. This position participates in the development of overall strategy and is a key stakeholder in value assessment. Responsibilities * Negotiate contractual agreements with pharmaceutical manufacturers and other healthcare organizations that support Prime's business assuring coordination with corporate goals and establishment of performance standards. * Along with the AVP Trade Relations, lead in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives concerning VBC and innovative digital health solutions and data licensing. * Lead efforts to identify an industry partner(s) for digital therapeutic products. Define product specifications and objectives, and lead a cross-functional team to implement * Manage corporate relationships with external partners and ensure that partner's products are brought forth internally to evaluate all innovative opportunities for Prime's business; represent company objectives and perspective to external partners * Assess internal and external capabilities and identify strategies to deliver best possible outcome; collaborate with internal product teams to successfully launch initiatives * Identify and work with digital start-ups and leverage solutions that are emerging or already exist. * Serve as a department resource for escalated client issues, contract analysis, and contract language needs * Assist in the presentation of corporate recommendations to P&T committees or other stakeholder committees * Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor of Science Pharmacy, PharmD, or MD * 10 years of related work experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), contracting or business development * Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
