Position Summary

The Innovation Process focuses on identifying and solving for key opportunities from creation to implementation of innovative ideas. Providing opportunities for collaboration, objective evaluation, and increased transparency around idea development and implementation is critical to success.

In this role, you will work side by side with the Innovation Manager to help develop and execute strategies and initiatives to foster innovation at Clayton.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage small projects or phases of larger projects by defining project tasks and activities and monitoring status and progress.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and sponsors to plan, develop, launch, and administer innovation campaigns and other targeted idea generation activities. 20%

  • Develop communication strategies and materials targeting multiple audiences to promote innovation initiatives.

  • Develop material for innovation focused workshops and assist in facilitation.

  • Contribute to the overall strategy of Clayton Innovation by researching and identifying industry best practices, developing goals, success metrics, and key performance indicators for Clayton Innovation.

  • Manage the flow of ideas through the Innovation Process, including engaging and coordinating with a group of volunteers for collaboration and idea review/refinement activities, assigning and tracking action items, and documenting feedback.

  • Serve as a point-person and Subject Matter Expert in the Innovation Process, including Innovation Management Software administration.

  • Compile information for reports and presentations, including writing SQL queries or willingness to learn.

Primary Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and facilitating multiple projects or projects outside of the normal scope of the position.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information in various formats.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with teams across various departments, while managing changing priorities.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft products and other office productivity tools to create reports, presentations, and collaborate with Team Members and stakeholders.
