Nassau Re/Imagine will support selected startups focused in the life insurance, annuity and reinsurance industries and will provide complimentary office space and business development services.
We are currently looking for an Innovation Program Manager to lead the Nassau Re/Imagine initiative.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Manage overall strategy of Nassau Re/Imagine incubator program and continuously work to improve participation, performance, and quality.
Source high-quality startups, build a community of supporters and provide visibility for Nassau Re/Imagine and its partners.
Lead training programs/projects which support startups and help them to develop and scale impactful products that improve the insurance industry.
Contribute to efforts to share best practices and experiences with successful implementation of products and ideas internally and externally.
Monitor and report on the progress of the program and indicators. Measure, learn from and improve impact and operations.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders and partners to drive program engagement and obtain support to execute program strategy.
Coordinate all aspects of the six-month incubator program, including appointments with startups, stakeholders and other parties involved.
Organize all events to drive the Nassau Re/Imagine experience: pitch presentations, startup selection events, product demonstrations, community events, etc.
Serve as first point of contact for all startups, sponsors and partners before and during the incubator program.
Take the lead on creating and disseminating communications and updates to stakeholders and partners; lead online and PR marketing activities.
Perform administrative work as needed to ensure program success, organization, and timely delivery of materials.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
5+ years' experience in the insurance industry within a product management/innovation, innovation brand management, portfolio management, or strategy consulting role.
Skills and experience in building effective cross-functional, cross-company collaborative programs and partnerships in a global multi-cultural environment.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
3-5 years' experience in the event planning space both on a small and large scale.
Detail oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in public speaking.
A passion for entrepreneurship is a must and startup experience a plus.
Knowledge of Business incubation programs, Marketing/salesmanship principles, and budget administration and program coordination.
Strong ability to network, recruit, and build strong relationships between the business community, and the Company.
