Through cross-functional engagement and close customer interactions, the CTAO team leads disruptive innovation transition and captures customer mindshare.

The Team

The Innovation Network team, part of Cisco's Chief Technology and Architecture Office, is a high-energy, motivated team that shares a passion for all-things innovation. This includes our Innovation Centers, spaces located all over the world and Innovation programs provided locally and centrally. At the centers, disruptive talent comes together to explore, discover and develop ground-breaking solutions to solve worlds', country's' and customers' toughest challenges. The centers are fast-paced, high-energy hotspots, where the spirit of entrepreneurship is alive and wellin fact, thriving.

Role & Responsibilities

We believe it is our employee's creative ideas that will accelerate Cisco's leadership in the digital age. "My Innovation" is a company-wide initiative to empower all Cisco employees to innovate everywhere and at any time. It creates the environment and provides vehicles for innovative ideas to emerge, develop and craft Cisco's future.

As an experienced innovation program manager, you will be responsible for the design, planning, and execution of workshops and trainings that are part of "My Innovation". More specifically, you will help innovators across Cisco accelerate their projects by applying some of the latest innovation methodologies such as design thinking, lean start-up, and service design. Your personal experience bringing innovative ideas to market will be key to inspire, mentor, and coach Cisco innovators.

Minimum Qualifications

  • You are a lean start-up & design-thinking practitioner and have experience bringing innovative concepts to market

  • You are an amazing facilitator and story teller

  • You have 5+ years' experience as a project / program manager

  • You have a MSc degree or equivalent

  • You have prior Cisco experience or knowledge in similar industries / technologies

  • You can travel at least twice per quarter globally

  • You are a team player with openness and a willingness to learn

Desired Skills

  • Entrepreneurial drive with proven ability to achieve/stretch goals in an innovative and dynamic environment with shifting priorities and objectives

  • Experience working in a start-up environment or for an innovation team

  • Strong organizing and stakeholder management skills. Ability to influence at all levels, to close gaps in conflicting priorities and to align a core and broader virtual team to achieve a common goal.

  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation

You will coordinate between different groups within and outside of Cisco (including software & hardware engineering, marketing, manufacturing, customer support, testing, reliability, documentation, supply chain and operations). Data Center Operations organization drives strategic, operational, and organizational excellence across the Data Center Business Group (Data Center Networking + Data Center Computing). Who Are You Your engineering background allows you to understand product requirements, technical risks and validation strategy necessary to accelerate development process.
