OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Manager in Foodservice Prepared Innovation to spearhead new product developments for the foodservice industry within our Prepared Foods portfolio. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a vibrant, fast-paced environment and possesses a curious and creative mindset aimed at meeting and exceeding our ambitious corporate growth goals with strategic thinking and operational expertise. This person will lead initiatives to develop innovative food products that align with the unique needs of chains, independent restaurants, distributors, and other providers across the foodservice landscape, ensuring these new offerings are both innovative and operationally viable. You will be responsible for strategizing both long-term visions and short-term tactics, turning fresh ideas into market realities, ensuring alignment with our corporate objectives in profit, volume, and market share.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strategic Project Leadership: Lead the strategic development of new food products tailored for the foodservice sector. End to end cross functional project leadership from insights and data mining to problem statement, ideation, and prototyping through commercialization and launch.

• Market and Client Research: Conduct comprehensive market research, in partnership with Insights and Market Analytics teams, to understand the evolving needs of foodservice operators and their customers, using these insights to inform product development.

• Trend Identification: Stay ahead of foodservice industry trends and culinary innovations to proactively address market demands and competitive pressures.

• Prototype Management: Oversee the development and refinement of product prototypes, ensuring they meet operational requirements of foodservice environment and consumer expectations.

• Pilot Testing and Sensory Evaluation: Partner with Insights and Sensory to conduct concept and product validation studies and optimize product formulations based on feedback.

• Financial Oversight: Manage budgeting and financial analysis for new product initiatives, ensuring projects meet financial targets and align with broader business goals.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate with, and present to, senior management and external partners, highlighting the business case and potential impact of new product introductions.

• Operational Readiness: Ensure all new products are ready for seamless integration into foodservice operations, addressing any logistical or supply chain challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree required - Business preferred (focus on Marketing, Innovation, or Entrepreneurship); MBA or related advanced degree a plus. Food/Meat Science, Culinary Arts, or related field considered with relevant experience.

Experience: At least 3 years in Product Innovation, Product Development, or Marketing.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for persuasive presentations.

• Robust analytical abilities.

Supervisory Experience: Prior management experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
