Key ResponsibilitiesManage pricing and RFQ execution for drayage and inland products within Transportation. Develop innovative approach that automates the process as much as possible while ensuring growth and profitability of the product. Work with internal stakeholders and external customers to create collaborative approach that secures new and profitable business.

  • Manage pricing activity in accordance with RFQs and sales initiatives

  • Establish strong relationships with core third party providers to optimize buy rates, manage capacity constraints, and resolve disputes

  • Present to internal and external customers

  • Actively engage with commercial teams to seek out new opportunities

  • Support the marketing and communication of product offerings

  • Identify market trends and customer needs, expand and explore new market opportunities

  • Act as technical resource for both internal and external constituents

  • Develop, distribute, and monitor metrics & reports as needed

  • Collaborate and create business review reports for internal and external clients

  • Maintains high level of industry knowledge through membership in multiple trucking organizations and periodical subscriptions; SME for changing legislation and local market conditions

  • Data mine Piers, Zepol, etc to identify back-haul opportunities and interface with commercial for focused pursuits

  • Understand client contractual obligations and monitor for adherence

Who we are looking for College degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Ability to travel 25-50% annually

  • Strong understanding of market pricing for US domestic inland and intermodal products.

  • 7-10 years of transportation and/or tender management experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills must be able to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated excellence in problem-solving and application of judgment to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications: Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Work and Outlook.

In the warehouse setting, employee may be walking, standing and/or loading goods for long periods of time. The ability to bend/stoop, reach above shoulder level, walk; stand; carry of light to heavy goods weighing up to 50 pounds is required. Should be able to hear & speak clearly using phone / headset to communicate with customers; be able to navigate, view & enter information on the computer. At times may be required significantly extended shift hours based on business need. May need to travel across US & Canada, international.
