Position Overview: Perform the necessary duties at the assigned Ink work station on the daily production line schedule. Safely performs position specific responsibilities to ensure a high level of productivity, quality and internal and external customer service while adhering to all relevant company policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends process improvements to streamline and increase efficiency of existing programs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work from written and verbal instructions
  • Fill bottles to required levels; keep sufficient supply of bottles on the line
  • Plug bottles with dauber, apply correct cap, sleeve or label
  • Keep dauber and capper bins full; keep adequate supply of plastic rolls in shrink wrap; make boxes for products and keep trash and empty boxes neat until disposed of
  • Inspect and pack product; make sure product is stacked and labeled properly; make boxes for products; check shelves for partial 12 packs and bottles; ensure all partial cases are put away properly
  • Monitor machine; stop and correct minor problems as needed; stop and inform mechanic and supervisor of major problems; clean up spills and dirty bottles
  • Keep empty boxes cut down and neatly stacked
  • Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials
  • Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma / GED equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs. frequently

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Good math skills are required
  • Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed
  • Must be a team player
  • Previous line operator experience preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Primary job duties will be setting-up, assisting stack off personnel, recordkeeping duties and other production related jobs. * Must be able to read and understand SOPs, Specs, and BOMs as they relate to job. * Must be able to perform minor maintenance and assist in major maintenance repairs and changeovers. * Must record daily department time reconciliation sheet, consisting of department number, name, date, shift, employee name * Must record data on machine usage log and the daily production comment sheets * consisting of line, machine numbers, codes, batch numbers, date, shift, time filled, batch, sign and date and etc * Responsible for updating training manual when new employees enter the department and updating employee training manual. * Must record data on the department activity record, consisting of department, standard crew, date, shift, line number, part number, batch, operation number, quantity produced, labor code, start and stop time. * Must be able to accurately keep up with discards and the identification of discards. * Must be able to perform back-up positions as required. * Must work overtime as deemed necessary. * Maintain good housekeeping in the department * Document all tasks as required by Specs and SOPs. * Will be responsible for performing and documenting line clearances. * Will insure that both plant and department safety rules are observed. * Must perform all other duties and responsibilities as determined by supervision/management. * Candidates must meet visual acuity requirements as documented in Baxter Cleveland visual acuity procedure CL-01-01-037. * Must have knowledge of both plant and department environmental health and safety regulations and comply with said regulations accordingly. Qualifications * Ability to read and write and perform simple math. * Mechanically inclined. * Must have basic knowledge of PC entry. * Ability to use computer and calculator * Must be able to use small hand tools. * Ability to work in garbing situation. * High school diploma or equivalent experience. * Previous recordkeeper experience preferred. * Ability to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift 75-100 lbs.
