3rd Shift (10:30 PM - 7 AM). Training on 1st for 2-3 months (7 AM - 3:30 PM).

We are seeking an Injection Molding Technician (Elgin, IL. 3rd shift) to contribute to the expansion of our Injection Molding capabilities. Contribute to the growing importance and impact of injection-molded connectivity solutions!

Job Responsibilities include:

• Run various injection molding machines at high efficiency

• Perform mold set-up and mold change over as required by production schedule

• Ability to troubleshoot machine processing problems

• Inspect molds for damage or excessive wear

• Complete basic Mold maintenance repairs

• Disassemble and reassemble molds

• Work with external tool shop for extensive repairs and maintenance

• Use basic tool shop equipment

• Perform all duties in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001

• Start-up, shut down and troubleshooting of the injection molding processes as well as all related automation equipment

• Perform basic programming Servo robotic equipment and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the automation is operating efficiently

• Assist with setting up injection molding machines and all related auxiliary equipment

• Allow the manufacture of product that meets or exceeds the established quality levels

• Assist with new mold samples

• Verifying that process parameters have been accurately

Position Requirements:

• High school or equivalent required

• 2+ years injection molding machine experience required

• Working knowledge of terminology and technical experience with injection molding of thermoplastics, processes, tooling and validation protocols

• Familiar with Arburg platforms and robotic grippers

• Must be able to speak and read English proficiently including good communication skills, both written and oral

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Must be able to make process improvement recommendations

• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
