Position Scope & Summary:
The Injection Molding Tooling II performs repairs and major maintenance on all injection molds and fixtures used in the operation of the manufacturing facility.
Position Requirement & Responsibilities:
Ensures that molds are cleaned greased and serviced correctly to be prepared for next production run.
Troubleshoot molds to include hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, and mechanical fixes
Inspects and evaluates wearing, damage or abnormal condition in molds and determines repair actions
Performs high precision machining on manual mills, lathes, surface grinders and EDMs.
Utilize precision measurement techniques using microscope, micrometers, calipers, comparator, gage blocks and indicators
Maintains proper housekeeping of the work areas
Maintains records for tooling repairs, service and maintenance per established procedures
Coordinates shipping of components and molds with vendors when outsourced.
Adheres to good manufacturing practices and safety guidelines
Follow schedule for work shifts, meetings, time off, overtime, and break
Detailed and organized
Position Qualifications:
High School diploma or college degree
Machining school certification
Mechanical skills
Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, pneumatic, hydraulics
5-10 Years of Experience in Injection Molding Tool Shop Environment
Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
Experience in CAD software (Solidworks preferred)
We offer market competitive compensation. Potential salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
