Description

This position is responsible for setting up and operating equipment that mixes or blends ingredients used in the manufacturing of food products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

Basic math skills are required to calculate, record and verify weight of ingredients. Prepares amounts of batches identified by department lead or supervisor based on production volumes.

Must be able to read the production schedule and write where required for documenting weights, temperatures, lot codes and various production numbers and information. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling and reaching are required. May require occasional assisted lifting of up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 1000 lbs using a pallet jack. These positions work in a cold, damp to hot and humid environment with slippery surfaces.

Requirements

Applicants must have 3 months of work experience with one employer in the last 12 months. Must be willing to work weekly overtime, and occasional weekends as needed.
