The Sr Client Architect is responsible for the discovery, planning, and execution of solutions that drive Dell's internal team member experience. The candidate should be comfortable leading the requirements gathering, deployment coordination, implementation, and review phases of technical solutioning and should have familiarity creating architectural guidelines and technical roadmaps. The ideal candidate will be able to show a progressive history leading cross functional work along with strong operational and engineering experience.
Designs and implements high level architecture for complex global client computing environment
Responsible for developing in-depth business cases to support technical recommendations
Provides innovative solutions to highly complex problems
Collaborates with other Dell IT cross-functional groups and other engineering and architecture groups
Defines architecture and standards for long term strategies
Presents technical strategies to a variety of audiences including customers, executives, peers and support staff
Leading proof of concept initiatives
Typically requires 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree; or 8+ years with a Master's degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in systems management technologies
Deep knowledge of client operating system deployment, patching, and software distribution
Experience with Cloud Services (Azure, Google, VMWare)
Solid knowledge of enterprise IT technologies, including hypervisors, virtualization platforms and management tools, Windows and Linux systems, etc.
5+ years of experience developing scalable and distributed systems and tools using programming languages and/or scripting (Windows and Linux)
Strong problem solving, debugging and testing skills and an ability to learn new technologies quickly
Public speaking experience User groups, conferences, etc.
Experience with Dell Technologies solutions (VMWare and DellEMC)
