DST is looking for an Infrastructure Specialist for the Information Technology Division. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including health insurance, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, as well as retirement and 401K!

This position has a recruitment range of $75,814 - $113,721

  • The selected candidate will have the ability to telework one day per week once fully oriented

This position will:

  • Support various maintenance and deployment tasks centered around Cisco routers, Catalyst and Nexus switches, Cisco MDS switches, Cisco Catalyst wireless infrastructure and Meraki Wireless infrastructure.

  • Have a working knowledge of the latest versions of VMware vSphere in order to utilize all or most of the features of an enterprise level virtualized data center.

  • Support and maintain Dell/EMC storage solutions as well as NetApp storage appliances at a medium to high level.

The Information Technology Division's (ITD) primary purpose is to plan, develop, implement and support the technology systems that meet the operational needs of the Department of State Treasurer (DST).

Qualified applicants must possess, and application must clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following:

  • Ability to configure a core to distribution layer networking architecture. and maintain the scale of standard growth in such an architecture.

  • Advanced understanding of Cisco Systems network infrastructure at a medium to high level.

  • Ability to work at a functional level to support, maintain, and deploy Dell/ EMC storage solutions such as EMC ECS, EMC Unity SANs, and vSAN storage hosted on Dell VXRail deployments in an enterprise data center.

Management Preferences:

  • We are primarily seeking an individual that is able to operate in a dynamic technical environment with the ability to support medium to highly complex physical network deployments utilizing Cisco technologies and systems.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of progressive experience in systems software programming; or Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in systems software programming; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
