As an experienced Infrastructure Lead, your mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run. As a Vice President of Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at JPMorgan Chase your role will be combination of infrastructure engineering, software engineering and an SRE who is trusted to improve the stability and availability of the production DNS, DHCP , IPAM environment through automation. You would be responsible for monitoring, provisioning, configuration management, orchestration, capacity planning, deployment, incident management, and systems development life cycle practices. The dynamic individual will drive the SREs practice and principles that support engineers and developers. Strong customer support, troubleshooting and system administration skills are required. You will drive the creation and review of service quality metrics. Provide leadership to transform the product
This position is anticipated to require the use of one or more High Security Access (HSA) systems. Users of these systems are subject to enhanced screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks, and/or other enhanced screening at the time of accepting the position and on an annual basis thereafter. The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Strong Communications Skills and experience managing global teams
Proven technical leadership experience, including the ability to quickly understand an issue, appropriately / efficiently troubleshoot to detailed levels and direct swift resolution
Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IPAM and Network Time Protocol(NTP)
Understanding of TCP/IP IPV4 & IPV6 with and Unix networking skillset
Deep expertise troubleshooting complex distributed systems
Demonstrated experience programming and testing Python
Understanding of routing protocols
Experience with creating and improving documented procedures and/or playbooks
Familiarity with open source configuration, orchestration, and CI/CD tools
Ability to listen, communicate, evaluate, problem solve, multi-task, and prioritize in a high-pressure, mission-critical, and rewarding team environment.
Hands-on experience and thorough understanding of Microsoft Active Directory Dynamic DNS
Highly developed skill set to troubleshoot DNS resolution and configuration issues using lookup tools and logs
Working Linux knowledge preferred
Must have demonstrated operational experience with data networking / IP services
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
Strong ability to take ownership of issues and drive resolution across teams
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop strong client relationships and partner with technology engineering teams.
