Job Description:

The Boyd Group is looking for an IT Infrastructure Services Coordinator to assist with various IT projects and integration of acquisitions. You will be a part of the IT Infrastructure team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, and highly available infrastructure to support business objectives and defined SLAs.

Key Job Responsibilities:

MANAGEMENT

  • Travel to new and existing Gerber shops to install and troubleshoot networking equipment, PCs and printers and provide IT services to ensure proper connectivity.

  • Take the necessary actions to meet daily/weekly/monthly goals and objectives.

  • Effectively communicate to all peers and supervisors.

  • Supervise low-voltage cabling vendors performing any IT related cabling

  • Coordinate with various divisions (Collision, Glass, MAS) to open and relocate shops with IT support services.

  • Provide support, documentation, and guidance to vendors to ensure they are meeting their goals.

  • Maintain accurate tracking of project related spending and control vendor costs.

  • Assist in the development and deployment of PC installation policies and standards. Ensure vendor and employee adherence to standards.

WORK QUALITY

  • Ensure that the values, objectives and quality standards of the Company are achieved/met.

  • Periodically work with the Manager of IT Infrastructure Projects to review and audit vendor work.

WORK EFFICIENCY

  • Ability to own and handle multiple complex projects simultaneously with overlapping deadlines.

  • Work with PMO and IT Infrastructure Director to perform standardized project tracking and reporting.

  • Ability to travel within the continental US to install IT equipment for upcoming acquisitions.

  • Work within a change control environment to effectively communicate, document, and implement change.

SAFETY

  • Observe and comply with safety requirements when conducting any work at the auto body repair shops.

  • Participate in on-going safety training.

  • Ensure that work areas are kept clean and safe and that employees operate under safe working conditions.

  • Comply with any safety directives when working in production environments.

COMPANY EXPECTATIONS

  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.

  • Maintain a good rapport with all employees of Gerber.

  • Take responsibility in your area of employment with Gerber for reporting, making recommendations and correcting situations adverse to the Company's best interest.

  • Up to 90% travel possible at times.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Indirectly manage the work of vendors to ensure proper quality, cost, and timeliness of work.

Educations and/or Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 6-8 years related work experience required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.

  • A+ or Network + certifications highly preferred.

  • Project+, PMP, or other project related certifications highly preferred.

  • ITILv3 Certification or experience working in an ITIL environment preferred.

  • Experience with Windows system administration is a plus.

  • At least three years working as a Project Manager or other IT leadership role.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Good decision making ability; sound judgment.

  • Ability to use a computer screen and keyboard to run daily business

  • Proficient at operating general office equipment.

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.

  • Ability to effectively interact with customers.

  • Ability to effectively function and contribute in a team setting.

  • Easily adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

  • Good oral and written communication skills; able to speak English fluently.

  • Solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models.

  • Knowledge of low voltage cabling requirements and how to perform a cabling site survey.

  • Familiarity with wireless coverage requirements and how to perform a wireless site survey.

  • Understanding of cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.

  • Understanding of virtual environments and associated networking (VMware, Citrix, etc)

  • Intermediate knowledge of end-user devices (printers, phones, and Windows PCs). Ability to install and configure any of these common devices.

  • Ability to safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
