Manager IT Solution Engineering

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global IT, the position serves as the Solution Manager for Solution Engineering Infrastructure, mainly focusing on the US. The Solution Manager serves as a subject matter expert to provide strategic oversight and planning of enterprise initiatives to ensure infrastructure components (Compute, Network, Unified Communications, End Points, Security) are designed in alignment with enterprise architecture strategies. You will be responsible to drive the solutioning and ongoing review of the US infrastructure; aligned with global infrastructure design and strategy to meet current and anticipated business requirements in line with the Global IT enterprise strategies.

Providing technical recommendations in relation to information solutioning, you will work with other enterprise solution engineers to define the solutions and set direction for how to support the infrastructure needs for the organization.

You will be fronting the business to understand the infrastructure needs and define the solutions in alignment to the enterprise architecture.

This position will be responsible to deliver solutions and infrastructure capabilities ( end to end ) to enable the US business needs as well as alignment to Enterprise Architecture team to comply to the Enterprise roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Fosters a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques.

  • Drive infrastructure solution engineering to enable to US business; develop and maintain global infrastructure strategies and designs with the Enterprise Architecture Team.

  • Understand and review new technologies and integrating these technologies into a strategic roadmap that closely aligned with business requirements and improved capabilities.

  • Provide guidance within/ outside IT on technical aspects of infrastructure systems development and integration to ensure strategies, roadmaps, policies, standards, and practices are properly applied.

  • Manages the portfolio of infrastructure assets and services from purchase or adoption through retirement.

  • Works with the enterprise architecture team to ensure that the IT solution enables necessary applications and business processes.

  • Identify alternative solutions, assesses feasibility, and recommends new approaches to ensure optimal performance and to meet business needs.

  • Identify, assess, and manage infrastructure risks and compliance requirements to ensure successful achievement of project deliverables.

  • Work with internal team to ensure that detailed component specifications are created to support systems design as part of new project initiatives.

  • Develops and controls the infrastructure annual operating and capital expenditure budget for Infrastructure & Operations and manages expenses to stay within plan.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent

  • At least 5 years' of experience in architecting enterprise infrastructure architecture, strategies and roadmaps.

  • Hands-on experience in at least 2 full global project implementation life cycles.

  • Familiar with wide range of technologies; . Microsoft Products (AD, Exchange, Lync, Azure) , Virtualization (MS HyperV, VMWare), ,  Hyperconverged technology (Nutanix), Networking (LAN/WAN and Security-related (IAM, MFA, WAF, DRM, DLP)

  • Experience in requirements definition, mapping, gap analysis, design and deployment.

  • Ability to engage with business stakeholders to define business requirements, map it to solutions and articulate the solutions in both business and technical lingo.

  • Ability to influence, enable and assist new initiatives to take advantage of new architecture and designs.

  • Adaptable, able to prioritise and juggle multiple demands.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Able to operate independently
