  • Friday 8am

  • 5pm; working overtime/call back hours during weekdays, weekends, and holidays, as required.

The Water Department, Infrastructure Services Division, Capital Delivery Section is seeking to hire an experienced Infrastructure QC Inspector. The selected candidate will be responsible for inspecting work quality and materials used in water and wastewater facility projects during all phases of construction to endure quality control and compliance with design plans/ specifications and approved submittals specification and contracts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.

  • Five (5) years of construction/quality control inspection experience involving the construction and maintenance of public works systems and structures.

  • Possession of a valid driver's license

  • Must pass physical and Drug Screen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience inspecting electrical work, instrumentation, and or pump stations

  • Journeyman Electrician License

The Infrastructure QC Specialist job responsibilities include:

  • Schedules and attends pre-construction meetings and final inspections.

  • Conduct site inspections, for water and wastewater facility projects.

  • Work with City Building/ Plumbing/ HVAC/ Electrical Inspectors of Development Departments.

  • Review plans and specifications for water/wastewater facility projects for constructability.

  • Coordinate with City project manager, plant staff, consultant and contractor on on-going facility projects.

  • Monitors work activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.

  • Meets with design professionals or contractors to interpret designs and modifications to plans and specifications. Provides technical guidance and interpretation and ensures with city and industry standards, procedures and regulations.

  • Prepare and maintain various inspection reports as required; maintains files and reports pertaining to inspections.
