Support Energy Team in developing Master plan for all Infrastructure type work inclusive (but not limited to) chilled water, steam and condensate, electrical, storm water, and sanitary sewer.
Interact with customers to understand requirements and usage to develop plans to meet their needs.
Support integration of Central Energy plant into all existing and new buildings.
Manage all capital projects related to Research and Engineering Site Work and Infrastructure:
Develop specifications/Statement of Work (SOW) for infrastructure upgrades.
Work with purchasing by developing RFQ's/RFI's to solicit quotations for equipment procurement.
Participate in selection, assessment and approval of vendors and contractors
Engage Clearinghouse personnel as appropriate.
Work with Environmental Quality Office (EQO) to understand any impact to cost or timing.
Develop project deck including calendarization, capital/expense breakdown, quotes, EH&S checksheet, and asset disposals obtain project approvals.
Provide actual spending, forecasts, and reporting quarterly for all projects.
Direct all phases of project management including planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and close-out.
Meet all timing commitments.
Lead monthly management reviews of major projects and coordinate overall project decks.
Coordinate projects with facilities and operations to maintain operations during construction phases with minimal impact to program timing.
Education / Core Skills:
Bachelors' of Science in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical preferred
One (1) year of related engineering experience OR a Masters' degree in Engineering
Strong MS Office suite, AutoCAD and computer skills
Strong understanding of business/finance as related to operating budgets and capital project management
Solid understanding of industrial process systems: HVAC, refrigeration, heat transfer fluids as well as liquid fuels and gases used in engine testing
Understanding of hazardous location requirements, and electrical infrastructure and controls that are required to power and continuously operate integrated test systems.
5 years in construction/project management is preferred
Leadership on one or more capital projects ($100k minimum); $1M and or multi-year, multi-site facility upgrade projects a strong plus
Ability to function as part of a team and work cooperatively toward team goals
Excellent leadership, negotiation skills, communications and interpersonal skills
Qualified candidates will work well under pressure, demonstrate excellent problem solving and creativity, and be able to quickly evaluate new information and make appropriate decisions.
Ability to develop & deliver business cases and presentations, project documentation to be delivered to upper management

Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary. Must have flexibility of work days to cover weekend testing requirements.
