The DDI Infrastructure Product Owner will liaison closely with Infrastructure Engineers, Product Development teams, Product Managers, and other business stakeholders to coordinate, prioritize, and communicate on-going status to deliver on business needs. The Product Owner should have strong leadership skills, be passionate about technology and have a strong user focus.

He / She defines, tracks, and maintains roadmaps and requirements with a solid understanding of the business, users, and the technical aspects of infrastructure technology. Must have a thorough understanding of dependencies of projects to prioritize work daily against the interrupt-driven nature of escalated support requests, helping the team shift and focus on priorities appropriately.

He / She is responsible for understanding key stakeholder requirements and partnering with the team to successfully translate requirements into comprehensive solutions, and for creating plans that will help the team to execute quality project work. He / She will need to have a "big-picture" perspective of the business, ensuring end-user experience is considered to drive successful technology adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Manage PMO team, providing guidance for their duties and day-to-day coaching towards developing and achieving their goals

  • Own, prioritize and communicate the short-, medium- and long-term project plans of the team

  • Leads implementation coordination by conveying vision and priorities to the team during planning meetings.

  • Outlines, refines and clarifies work in the backlog to maintain a steady flow of available work for teams to consume.

  • Maintains Kanban board, ensuring alignment with backlog, and running daily stand-ups to provide transparency to management and accountability for team members.

  • Partners with other teams to coordinate, prioritize, and communicate the on-going status of each other's projects, facilitating partnerships and promoting communication between teams as they require resources from one another.

  • Works directly with team members to identify and resolve project barriers or conflicting priorities.

  • Works with key stakeholders to understand the business needs and goals, acting as an advisor to planning decisions.

  • Remains available to the team to answer questions and deliver direction regarding acceptance criteria, customer needs, and work priorities.

  • Track progress, understand dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to upper management and project partners.

  • Ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be highly effective.

  • Regularly collaborate with the team to detail requirements and specify acceptance criteria for the definition of done.

  • Partner with team leaders to identify areas of improvement or address team performance issues.

  • Project Management of large-scale projects when necessary.

Basic Qualifications

(These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job)

  • 2-3 years of Infrastructure, Systems Engineering or Network Engineering experience preferred.

  • Ability to build productive customer relationships and collaborative internal relationships.

  • Excellent communication, partnering, and influencing skills.

  • Excellent planning and organizing skills.

  • Ability to work through ambiguity.

  • Strong technical background.

  • Proactively seek learning opportunities and apply learned skills to the job.

  • Generate different and novel ways to deal with work problems/opportunities.

  • Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Project support/management experience with familiarity and openness to using either Waterfall or Agile Methodologies where appropriate.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a dynamic, fast-paced, high performing team.

  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects, and work under challenging deadlines.

Basic Qualifications (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job) * BA or BS degree with concentration in English, Writing, Desktop Publishing, or related area. * At least 3 years professional experience in a support role with emphasis on formatting content (i.e.desktop publishing), basic editing, proofreading, and production coordination. * Proficient in light writing and editing and proofreading content. * Ability to monitor and apply corporate brand and editorial style standards. * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and PowerPoint. * Ability to apply templates and perform advanced formatting. * Strong proficiency in Adobe Acrobat static and interactive PDF file creation and editing. * Experience using web-based applications and platforms (e.g. Qualtrics, SharePoint, etc.) * Experience managing large quantities of diverse content in varying file formats. * Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and complete projects under challenging deadlines. * High work standards, level of accuracy, and attention to detail. * High receptivity to feedback and willingness to learn, including software and technologies. * High degree of self-motivation and ability to take initiative.
