We are seeking a talented individual to fill a role as an Application Platform Engineer I. This individual will work within the Application Platform Engineering team to drive the success of the Application Platform product being offered to our internal and external customers. They will apply the necessary technical expertise to design, implement and provide support for enterprise application platform environments and solutions. This individual will support all application environments including but not limited to: application middleware/runtime, load balancing, API management, cloud PaaS, messaging, and container runtime environments. This individual will partner with multiple teams across the enterprise to ensure corporate success across the broad set of custom applications at HMS.
Middleware Platform Engineer I Responsibilities
Work with development teams on engineering, configuration and troubleshooting middleware solutions to meet application/business requirements.
Assist in the automation, configuration, and support of environment and application specific deployments
Work with security and other infrastructure teams to establish an application environment and ensure functionality.
Identify and apply innovative technologies to continue growing the application platform offerings.
Assist in establishing standards for performance metrics, capacity planning and systems tuning.
Develop automation for deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of middleware applications.
