Accenture Labs is Accenture's primary technology R&D organization. Our mission is to publish a yearly Technology Vision, produce patents, explore emerging technologies and develop compelling prototypes that demonstrate the business implications of emerging technologies for various industries.

Role and Responsibilities

Our Infrastructure Operations Team is responsible for supporting the following work streams:

  • Labs Core IT Infrastructure: Labs network and on-premise datacenter administration, cloud-based environments - cross-node interoperability, collaboration tools.

  • Labs R&D: Build, configuration and maintenance of development and staging environments for Labs developers (network, application servers, workstations, laptops, etc.)

  • Labs Client Showcase: Support, maintain, upgrade our execution / production environment (client demos) including immersive showcases and briefing center facilities. This encompasses the full technology stack from IT Infrastructure to Audiovisual equipment and specialized demo gear (e.g. wearable computing).

The Application Technical Support Associate Manager supports both the Workshop and Infrastructure Operations team within a single Lab node. He or she should have a foundational background in DevOps as well as security.

He or she supports the roll-out and maintenance of Labs IT needed to conduct R&D activities in that node, develops and supports technology and for the showcase, manages technology procurement and asset inventory. He or she also provides technical support during Labs visits and maintains tools in support of this.

As part of its mission, IDB Invest supports the private sector and state-owned enterprises through financing in the form of loans, equity investments, and guarantees. The Investment Operations Department (INO) of IDB Invest is responsible for generating a portfolio of high quality, creditworthy, and environmentally and socially sound projects that result in significant development impact. The business cycle goes from the identification, selection, origination and execution of transactions to their monitoring. INO follows a matrix model, with three Segment Divisions covering Infrastructure and Energy, Financial Institutions and Corporates, and three transversal areas such as the Financial Products and Services Division, the Advisory Services and Blended Finance Team and the Portfolio Management Division. The Team: The Infrastructure & Energy Division (INO/IEN) of the Investment Operations Department is responsible for originating, structuring and closing development finance transactions (loans, guarantees, equity) in LAC in the following sectors: * Energy * Social Infrastructure (Education & Health) * Transport * Water & Sanitation What you'll do: The consultant's scope of activities shall include, but not be limited to, providing support for the identification, appraisal, structuring, negotiation, closing, disbursement and monitoring of structured finance operations, mostly structured as limited recourse project finance transactions in the sector listed above. This entails: * Review and analyze financial statements and develop and/or adapt financial projection models in Excel to evaluate financial information and conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis, * Prepare teasers, financial proposals, and presentation to prospective clients. * Prepare terms of reference and lead the selection of external consulting firms (engineering, market, insurance, auditor, etc) that support the investment team in the appraisal of project finance operations. Work with other team members and the consulting firms to perform the due diligence of the transactions. * Conduct research relative to prospective project sponsors, gathering and developing relevant market and financial data, and assisting with the preparation of operations summaries and preliminary desk evaluations of potential projects. * Participate in appraisal business trips to gather necessary technical, legal, economic, financial information as assigned to assess the merits of potential lending or equity investment projects. * Assist with the development of detailed credit reports and other internal documents for presentation to IDB investment decision committees. Coordinate as needed with other areas of the Bank in preparation of such reports and in the internal processing of the transactions. * Assist with financial closings and disbursements for approved lending and investment projects by assisting with the verification that client comply with all Consultant conditions. * Assist with the supervision of approved lending and investment projects to ensure their development as per established agreements. * Assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and information memoranda for investment projects. Skills you'll need: * Education: Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field. * Experience: Between two (2) and four (4) years of relevant employment experience as a financial analyst. Candidates with solid experience in project finance will be preferred. * Languages: Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish is required; knowledge of Portuguese or French is a plus. Core and Technical Competencies: * Solid experience conducting financial and risk analysis for project feasibility assessment for lending and investment projects, financial modeling and credit proposal preparation. * Teamwork with excellent coordination among colleagues in diverse disciplines to complete a joint product for internal and external use. * Solid negotiation skills with internal and external clients on delicate issues. * Good organization in order to take on multiple responsibilities simultaneously and maintain good attention to detail. * Highly developed technical report writing and verbal communication skills. * Motivation, proactivity, creativity, problem-solving skills and ability to work in teams as well as independently.
