Infrastructure Operations Engineer

Work arrangement - hybrid or remote. Our office is located in Englewood, CO near Denver.

Description of Duties:

Candidate will be responsible for all Operational aspects of server/network infrastructure in an environment consisting of approximately 600 servers across multiple data centers. This person will also be responsible for network management and monitoring planning and implementation for server, network, virtualization, storage and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

Specific Job Duties:

Will be a systems administrator able to function with little supervision or direction.

  • Responsible for 3rd-level problem escalation.

  • Responsible for patch management and maintenance implementation plan for server/network infrastructure.

  • Responsible for multi-environment production and non-production enterprise and associated infrastructure, including hybrid cloud.

  • Responsible for network management/monitoring implementation plan for server/network infrastructure.

  • Responsible for infrastructure backups.

  • Assist with network infrastructure projects.

  • Assist with server infrastructure projects.

  • Assist with security infrastructure projects.

  • Assist with other infrastructure and hybrid cloud projects as assigned.

  • Help create process and procedures.

  • Participate in Infrastructure Operations on-call rotation for after-hours work and 3rd level (enterprise) escalations.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Windows Server 20XX including clustering experience.

  • Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Entra (Azure Active Directory) DNS, Group Policy

  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, RemoteApp, App-V

  • VMWare ESXi 7+

  • Enterprise backup platform experience (Rubrik Cloud experience a plus)

  • Storage Area Network experience

  • Automation experience

  • Microsoft System Center Suite (including SCCM and SCOM).

  • Telephony (PBX) administration a plus

  • Experience working in mid to large-scale network/telecom infrastructures.

  • Experience working in mid to large-scale data center infrastructures.

  • Microsoft scripting experience (PowerShell, C#)

  • Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, Phone System)

  • Microsoft Azure administration experience

  • Linux experience a plus

Candidate should also possess an MCSE or other technical certifications that demonstrate excellent technical skills.

Additional Qualifications:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a system administration capacity

  • Experience with PC/LAN, Web, and Client/Server environments is required

  • Experience with MSSQL Server (OLAP, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, MS SQL Server Analysis Services, Reporting Services and Integration Services) is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of computer systems, voice and data networks, data analysis and programming technologies, concepts and techniques is required.

  • Knowledge of virtualization technology and storage area networks is required.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (or other cloud provider) administration as well as knowledge of cloud orchestration concepts is desired.

  • Ability to evaluate and interpret business client requirements, and to develop appropriate systems and/or infrastructure solutions.

  • Experience with configuration (release) management is desired.

  • Experience with scripting/development languages such as PowerShell, VB Script, batch scripting and C# and is highly desirable.

  • Exhibits follow through and accountability which serves as an example for other team members.

  • Demonstrate understanding of applications and systems currently in use within Pulte Financial Services for functional area of focus.

  • Must have a proven ability and aptitude to take on challenging assignments, learn quickly and develop credibility with customers and team members.

  • Experience in large scale Infrastructure Development and Software Development Life Cycle projects is desirable.

  • Must be able to manage a heavy workload in a complex, demanding and rapidly changing environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills should be complemented with a solid business and technical background, and a keen interest in business operations and change impact.

  • Able to predict customer needs, wants and nuances early in the development process and contribute towards addressing them prior to them being coded and tested.

  • Strong analytical, problem identification and problem resolution skills.

  • Proven and demonstrated breadth of technology expertise and skill levels.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems preferred.

Salary Range: $95,000 to $125,600 annually depending upon experience.

This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.
