OVERVIEW: As network analyst, this position will require a candidate to have experience in LAN, WAN, firewalls, routers, VPNs, wireless, QoS, IP addressing, DHCP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and related technologies to support the various networks at UGIES. This candidate will also interact and work closely with internal business teams and 3rd party vendor communications to support the business and plant operations. This position requires an active role in design, implementation, and maintenance of all networks in the UGIES environment, ensuring appropriate isolation between individual networks and following industry best practices to ensure security and availability of services. Candidate will work with IT management to recommend, adopt, document, and communicate standards and procedures on an ongoing basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Maintain strong communication across business, technical teams and all senior management levels.
Responsible for management of Cisco FirePower and ASA Firewalls.
Responsible for management of LAN, WAN, VPN, DMVPN, Client VPN, WLAN, IP addressing, DHCP, firewall, IPS, QoS and other required technologies in support of both business and plant operations.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with standards, procedures, policies, and practices.
Responsible to meet network requirements for support of Shoretel IP telephony solutions.
Responsible for developing effective network monitoring and solutions.
Work with management to develop and maintain standards and procedures to meet policy and compliance requirements
Identify hardware and software technical problems, network and/or related system malfunctions, as well as upgrade and deploy firewalls, routers, switches, WLAN, and related components.
Responsible for, compliance and operational reporting, tracking and configuration management per security policies. Requires travel to plant facilities within our geographic footprint.
Additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge in areas of network infrastructure operations including planning and maintaining firewall, IPS, LAN, WAN, VPN, DMVPN, Client VPN, WLAN, IP addressing, DHCP, firewall, QoS, disaster recovery, high availability, enterprise security, and data communications. Knowledge of SCADA and ICS is a plus.
Ability to understand the complex, inter-linked environments and propose solutions that incorporate multiple, related variables, while maintaining required levels of isolation.
Ability to develop and follow detailed project plans.
Prior experience with maintenance, service delivery, production support, information security, risk, audit and asset documentation.
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, as well as have strong analytical skills.
Ability to provide level 2/3 Tech Support to remote users and travel to local locations as requested.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
B.S. in Computer Science and/or Information Systems.
At least 5+ years of relevant experience.
Cisco CCNP or equivalent experience.
