Infrastructure Manager

Basic Purpose of Position: To plan, direct, and design the company's

IT infrastructure. Oversee the management of the SD-WAN or MPLS network across 14 sites including international locations. Manage a four person IT Infrastructure team responsible for maintaining that infrastructure. Manage the relationship and contract for multiple infrastructure service providers. Serve as infrastructure technical advisor to IT peers and to the company senior IT leadership. Assign, manage, and oversee infrastructure related support tasks while assisting with defining infrastructure strategic direction. Collaborate with other members of the IT team. Contribute and advise on matters of

cybersecurity. Reports to the company Senior IT Director or to the Chief Information Officer.

Primary or Major Responsibilities:

  • Serve as senior technical advisor for matters of

LAN, WAN, Infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to the usage and operations of technology.

  • Manage a team of four to six infrastructure technicians.

  • Manage infrastructure consulting resources.

  • Manage and oversee Infrastructure projects to include establishing scope, timelines, and milestones.

  • Monitor infrastructure performance and make appropriate adjustments to ensure optimal performance.

  • Manage and oversee all hardware and software

components of the infrastructure.

  • Notify staff of system, programming, and/or performance

problems impacting the accuracy, downtime or expediency of production systems.

  • Responsible for overseeing company cybersecurity program to include web firewalls, server and client based activity monitoring,

and event logging.

  • Ensure all infrastructure activities meet the standards and intent of policy, NIST, SOX, and CoBIT.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Four year degree in business, MIS, or equivalent required; advanced degrees, a plus.

  • Knowledge of information system terminology, concepts, functions, policies, and procedures.

  • Deep functional knowledge of networking concepts such as LAN, MPLS, and SDWAN.

  • Experience leading a distributed, mixed team of employees and consultants.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated Analytical/Problem Solving Skills in order to be able to gather, sort and analyze data to develop logical conclusions.
