Position Title: Infrastructure Manager / IT Site Lead

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week

Summary of Duties: Provide the overall Configuration Management (CM) infrastructure and environments to the Research & Development (R&D) Product Development teams, based on different system environments used for advanced Power Systems software applications.

Provide the infrastructure used by approximately 70 employees from both the Minnetonka, Minnesota and Curitiba Brazil Grid Control R&D offices. Supervise and mentor approximately four employees in the CM and Integration teams. Use and administer configuration management tools, support the product development activity (Design, Development, Test, Deployment, and Maintenance) so that developers and integrators have appropriate workspaces to build and test their work, and so that all artifacts are available for inclusion in the deployment unit as required.

Support development teams with builds, server deployments, continuous integration, system administration, virtualization and heterogeneous network integration, in order to release high quality customer commercial software projects delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet or exceed customer satisfaction expectations. Effectively communicate and cooperate with other global and local business groups.

Build and release engineering systems standards and best practices for software deployment in a controlled environment with an understanding of full life-cycle configuration management activities, while performing related system administration activities. Administer various tools supporting Release Management including Source Control, and Continuous integration.

Coordinate with technical leads to schedule system downtimes, release schedules, and ensure proper configuration control of all system changes. Coordinate and administer upgraded/transitioning to modern development tools. Troubleshoot build, packaging, and component management issues, working with the Development and Infrastructure teams to resolve them.

Develop and implement configuration management, hardware, and software control processes, policies, and procedures. Understand the configuration management's role in a development environment. Review existing automation and identifies opportunities to improve overall productivity.

Ensure appropriate security and access levels to the Configuration Management System. Perform Software Configuration Management audits to ensure SCM processes are being followed, environments are kept in sync, configuration items are being built as required and supporting documentation is complete.

Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or as a System Configuration Manager for Software Engineering, Project Deployment, or R&D Solutions, IT Infrastructure Specialist, or an acceptable alternate occupation. Will accept an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered, or as a System Configuration Manager for Software Engineering, Project Deployment, or R&D Solutions, IT Infrastructure Specialist, or an acceptable alternate occupation.

The position requires two (2) years of experience with the following skills: Leadership or Project Manager Experience, managing and mentoring other employees; Experience as an Administrator with version control software such as ClearCase (UCM) and Git; Experience with installing and setting up physical hardware in a data center environment; Experience with RHEL, Windows Server, and Unix or Linux system Administration; Experience with shell script; Experience with different kind of services, such as Firewall, DNS, LoadBalancer, Apache, or Oracle.

The position requires one (1) year of experience with the following skills: Experience with VMware Vcenter or Vsphere, RHEV, KVM and Hyper-V; Experience with Release Management Processes or Change Management Processes, such as Developing, Implementing, Managing, and Automating; Experience with development environments and tools; Experience with build automation software.
