Infrastructure Engineer

What You'll Do

We're looking for an Experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Apps team. In this role, you'll work with engineers to design and implement Database solutions on our DB2/z platform to enable business outcomes for our customers. Your support will cover data management at every data layer including operational, business intelligence, analytics, and systems infrastructure. Our goal is to keep the customer central to our solutions by implementing and enhancing data stores that are efficient, available, monitored, and supported 24/7.

Your day could look like this:

• Create a highly efficient environment through SQL tuning

• Create, Update, and Change high quality on-prem data stores to service our customers

• Identify and execute on automation and process improvement strategies

• Work with data governance to secure and protect data in non-production environments using test data management principles

• Monitor data access and improve on security practices

• Solve interesting and complex problems around database infrastructure

• Work closely with engineering teams in RIS and many other business units to ensure data quality, consistency, and availability

• Provide system level support through helpdesk and on-call responsibilities

• Identify and propose strategies around technical problems affecting the business, communicate standards, act on solutions, and review and document design choices

• Work closely within your engineering team, modelers, architects, and business partners to resolve issues and implement solutions

• Actively participate with the data services team during design and strategic discussions

Who You Are

• You have an Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field) and 2+ years work experience or equivalent experience

• You have SQL, JCL and Database Administration for DB2 on Z platform skills

• You are driven to continuously improve and enjoy experimenting and learning

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

• AWS knowledge or Cloud exposure

• Optim TDM

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$63750 - $182400 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You'll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
