What you'll do
As an Infrastructure Engineer on our Network Security Infrastructure team, you'll provide strategic planning and execution of high visibility initiatives across the global landscape. In addition, you'll collaborate with internal clients, peers and leadership to influence the modernization of the network security infrastructure. Additionally, as business continues to change at a quicker pace the you will help Principal create a world class network automation and reporting environment while finding innovative ways for team members to work throughout the world.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders as well as communicate business objectives to the technical team and get buy-in.
Demonstrate independence working in more than one system. Take initiative to fix issues before being assigned. Seek empirical evidence through proof of concepts, tests and external research. Lead the team in proactively establishing controls and ensure system is secure and meets policy and regulatory requirements during development. Includes leading team in risk remediation as a result of risk assessments.
Demonstrate knowledge of industry trends and how the entire software and infrastructure system operates.
Independently conduct analysis and development, requirements, coding, automated testing, debugging, designing, documentation, quality assurance review, implementation and maintenance. Understand and make well-reasoned design decisions and trade-offs in the area. Develop ability to dig into a system that is unfamiliar and solve the business issue. Identify and proactively tackle technical debt before it grows into debt that requires significant up-front work to resolve. Apply changes to follow security policies and standards with guidance.
Participate in technical design of features. Focus on attaining expertise in more technical areas.
Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
Provide mentoring via pairing and design review. Contribute frequently to demos, CoPs, etc.
Research new IT developments. Stay current and engaged on industry trends. Consult with business partners on future technical trends/directions to meet business strategy initiatives.

Associate's or bachelor's degree in a computer science, technology, engineering or math related field.
6+ years' work experience. (Network experience, etc
Previous experience with firewall technologies, packet captures and remote access technologies.
Successful candidates will have the following:
Understanding of information security and best practices when implementing rulesets, access control lists, and whitelist.
Previous experience with: Next gen firewall technologies, Intrusion Prevention technologies, Internet Proxy, Remote access technologies and DDOS mitigation.
Intermediate level of network skills, including switching, routing, and basic network troubleshooting

Desire to learn in a fast-paced environment by seeking out educational opportunities and leveraging peers' experience.
Willingness to teach peers.
Capability to listen to an issue to help drive conversations to expectations and requirements
Provide equal participation while brainstorming ideas to find a solution
Basic knowledge of Linux operating system.
Basic knowledge of scripting is preferred.
Some travel may be required, including overnight stays.
Ability to provide on-call support on a variable basis may be required.
