As AllianzGI continues to develop and grow its Infrastructure Debt investment management business, there is an opportunity to join the Infrastructure Debt team. The new joiner will support the team's efforts in originating, analysing, and executing investment opportunities and in the ongoing management of the existing portfolio. There is a focus on France although investment opportunities arise in other countries notably in Europe.
You will work with the team in Paris, but also with the teams in London and New York, in a collaborative and exciting manner. The team is bidding and investing in transactions so the successful candidate will have immediate access to deal analysis, structuring and negotiations. This position is based in Paris.
With more than €26 billion invested in about 150 transactions, AllianzGI is the largest Infrastructure Debt asset manager in Europe. Investments are made in core assets (social infrastructure, transportation assets, regulated utilities, and renewable energy), core+ assets (e.g., telecom assets, data centres, district heating, smart meters, ferries, equipment) and high yield infrastructure. The team is investing in greenfield and brownfield assets and is also involved in the refinancing of operational assets.

What you will do
Execute investments:
Support the initial screening of opportunities including presentation to the Infrastructure Debt Investment Committee and preparation of materials to present the opportunities to current and potential investors
As part of a deal team, undertake detailed transaction due diligence, including the review and analysis of financial, legal, commercial, and technical reports. Undertake risk and ESG assessment and internal rating of the transactions
Conduct financial modelling of the investment opportunities
As part of a deal team, negotiate the term sheet
Conduct KYCs, CP checks and prepare closing documents, including trade tickets and Solvency 2 valuation.
Portfolio management:
Ensure a smooth transition of closed transactions to the portfolio management team
Assess jointly with the portfolio management team complex waiver and amendment requests.
Fund raising and client management:
Help prepare marketing materials and attend prospective investor meetings
Participate to the annual or semi-annual portfolio review meetings with existing clients (i.e., investors)
Credit and infrastructure market knowledge:
Keep informed of key developments in the infrastructure and credit markets and ensure dissemination of information to the wider team
Update weekly the transaction pipeline
Attend seminars and other training to supplement knowledge
Attend and/or present at infrastructure conferences
What you bring
1 to 4 years' work experience in infrastructure, project or structured finance
Fluency in both French and English
Fluency in additional European language(s) to French and English including particularly Italian or Spanish would be a plus
Structured/project finance experience in the European market across regulated and contracted utilities, PPP, renewables, and/or transportation sectors
Experience in assessing infrastructure debt transactions and conducting due diligence
Expertise in creating and reviewing Excel financial models for both corporate and project finance transactions
Knowledge of global debt markets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in writing in a very articulated manner detailed credit memos
Good interpersonal skills and team player
