Job Description Job Description POSITION CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AWARD Position Overview: Informational Technology (IT) Specialist supports desktop computers, networks, and peripheral devices (e.g., printers, scanners) for classified and unclassified networks.

With expertise in administering Windows operating systems, switched/routed networks, and Active Directory Certificate Services, the IT Specialist ensures secure operation by coordinating patch deployment with network administrators. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Informational Technology Specialist also manages help desk operations, providing timely responses and resolutions within a three-hour window.

The IT Specialist works with other military and commercial IT organizations to address service-level issues and maintain the security of the organization’s computers, networks, and data, with additional support from senior engineers if needed. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Informational Technology Specialist serves as Desktop Support Administrator for the training battalion; maintains network reliability and inventory; troubleshoots and resolves network issues / outages; maintain help desk tickets/resolutions ; creates and updates standard operating procedures; diagnoses and fixes system issues; configure, troubleshoot and maintain printers’ readiness. Requirements (Minimum Experience, Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Licensure): - CompTIA Security certification required.

• Minimum of two years’ experience in installing software and setting up computers in large scale environments such as military units, college, or commercial enterprises.

• Applicants must possess a TOP SECRET- SCI Clearance. Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Certified in computer repair, hardware/software installation and maintenance as well as local area network operations, installation and repair.
